Each year, CSTA Chapters set growth goals based on the Chapter Success Rubric to further the mission of building community and providing PD & support to members.
 
Below are CSTA Alabama's Goals for 22-23: 
  1. Goal 1 - Have a virtual community with regular communication (at least monthly) by both Chapter Leaders and members.
    • Element 1: Build Community - CSTA Alabama Virtual Community (👈🏼 It's live and you can post right now)
    • 4 - 6 months
    • Move from Level 2 (Meets Expectation) to Level 3 (Meets Target).
    • Ideas to achieve this goal include creating a schedule for Chapter Leaders to post and reply to posts in our virtual community. Direct members to the virtual community in our emails, bulletins, and newsletters. Post a link to the virtual community on our chapter website.
       
  2. Goal 2 - Host at least one meeting or event that addresses equitable teaching practices.
    • Element 2: Provide PD + Support - Professional Development
    • 7 - 9 months
    • Move from Level 2 (Meets Expectation) to Level 3 (Meets Target).
    • Ideas to help achieve this goal include asking members if they'd like to present or share resources for equitable teaching practices. Review the resources from the Chapter Leader webinars that showcase how to lead events focused on equitable teaching practices. 
       
  3. Goal 3 - Chapter leadership promptly responds to all CSTA HQ communications and requests, including the annual report. At least one Chapter Leader participates in the annual Chapter Leadership Summit.
    • Element 3: Establish Operational Foundations - Relationship with HQ
    • 10 - 12 months
    • Move from Level 2 (Meets Expectation) to Level 3 (Meets Target).
    • Ideas to help achieve this goal include keeping abreast of Chapter Leader communications via email and in the Chapter Leader Virtual Community.
